The town of Bansko is located in the foot of Pirin Mountain, at 927 meters above the sea level, next to National Park Pirin – a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Bansko is a rare combination of immensely beautiful landscapes and Bulgarian national revival atmosphere. The climate is mountainous, with average January temperatures of -1.9 degrees Celsius, the snow cover in the resort remains for 6 months annually on the average, and the summer temperatures are +25 degrees.

Guests of the resort have the privilege to experience the pure authenticity and the unique culture of the old town district.  It was proclaimed as a cultural center of international importance in 1979. There are multiple museums, historic, architectural and cultural landmarks in the town with the number of tourist attractions exceeding 140. Very typical for Bansko are the traditional taverns, in which dishes from the region of Bansko are served.
